Ben Wintour is a social entrepreneur, experienced creative leader and a judge on the Social Entreprenuer Index.
Ben has been listed by Forbes as a 30 Under 30 social entrepreneur alongside Greta Thunberg, by the BBC worldwide as a person ‘changing the world’, by Red Bull as a key change maker and by Men’s Health as an ‘affable bloke’.
Ben’s real passion lies in working with teams to conceive and accelerate ideas that make a positive difference in the world. He has been mentored by some of the world’s greatest leaders in business, including the global chair of Tesla Motors. His dedication to social change has also been recognised at a national level by the UK Prime Minister.
Throughout his career Ben has launched initiatives and campaigns that look to tackle social and health issues including knife crime, poor mental health, smoking, blood shortage and climate change.
Initiatives include:
Steel Warriors - an anti knife crime charity that melt down knives taken off the street and recycle them into free outdoor community gyms. The gyms have been described by Men’s Health as the ‘best gyms in the world’. Ben dreamt up the idea with his co-founder and led the charities’ first campaign, reaching over 800 million people worldwide in over 42 different countries with no media spend. He also built a multi-disciplinary team, forged over 20 successful pro bono partnerships (including a partnership with Gymshark) and led the charity to secure a multi-million-pound investment to scale nationwide. Steel Warriors won a gold for Innovation at the Global Good awards.
Contrast - a sauna and plunge studio that offers structured group sessions, fusing performance and recovery. Think boutique fitness—but instead of spin or circuits, guests are guided through powerful rounds of heat, breathwork, music, and aromatherapy inside large saunas, with cold plunge intervals. Each session is led by expert Contrast Masters who bring an immersive atmosphere to every experience. With bold plans to scale studios across London and beyond, Contrast is building the future of recovery-led fitness.
Integrate – a social enterprise that partners with landlords to place high-impact charities into underutilised central London spaces. In the past 12 months alone, Integrate has placed 35+ charities supporting 500+ staff across 200,000 sq. ft. of space. Landlords such as Derwent, LGIM, and Savills work with Integrate to activate empty buildings, boost net operating income (NOI), and deliver measurable social impact.
Temple – A B2B mental wellbeing app that offered employees an engaging daily workout for the mind, lending from habit forming technologies and removing the stigma that so often deters workers from engaging with current services. Ben dreamt up the product’s unique vision and design and worked alongside his co-founder, former Microsoft veteran Nikolaz Foucaud and leading Cambridge neuroscientist, Dr Becky Inkster to bring an MVP to life. The Temple app was used in over five different countries, had 3X higher user engagement than industry standard and a 95% approval rating with users.
Ben also advises startups on growth and brand strategy, and has developed campaigns for leading global companies including Amazon, Uber, Goldman Sachs, eBay, General Electric, Sky, UBS, KFC, Red Bull, Tinder, and the NHS.
